  1. AFTER HAVING A DENTAL SURGERY PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

  2. The dental surgery allows you to correct the dental issues with different procedures like dental implants. Make sure that you get the procedure of dental surgery from a reputed surgeon in Connecticut. And in order to make sure that the dental surgery is successful, you need to follow certain measures that would facilitate the process of healing. Following are the oral health precautions you need to take after having dental surgery:

  3. NO RINSING: Avoid rinsing your mouth strongly for at least a whole day as it can hurt your gums around the surgery area. Avoid eating extremely chewy food and stay away from alcohol.

  4. NO BRUSHING: Avoid brushing for about a week. Use gentle cloth soaked in salt water to clean and sanitize. Do not touch the area where the surgery was performed. It can cause pain and infection in that area.

  5. AVOID TOUCHING THE INJURY: The affected area should not be touched even if it is by tongue, fingers or any objects. This can induce infection in the wound.

  6. AVOID HEAT NEAR SWELLING: The swelling occurs after dental surgery and it can bring an abnormal look to your facial features. But avoid applying heat around swollen area to reduce the swelling. However, you can massage the area with ice cubes.
