  1. Broadway Ghost Town | Nashville Skyline Turquoise - Craig Alexander Photography Here is an image that may never, ever be captured again, frozen in time... I have wanted to take this photo for a long, long time. It’s always been absolutely impossible due to all the cars, the pedestrians, drunk bachelorette (just kidding… kind of) and horse-drawn carriages. This was shot in late March of 2020. After 10 days being cooped up at home I wanted to go on an adventure! As a human, with a body, I just needed to stretch my legs and change the scenery. As an artist I felt the burning desire to make something beautiful, and uplift people! This is Broadway. Downtown Nashville, at the very heart of the city. It's normally absolute chaos! Huge crowds, you can barely walk without bumping into someone in any direction. Loud music coming from every country music bar and Honky Tonks. Party Floats and Bachelorette Buses riding up and down the Strip, not to mention the horse drawn carriages and street performers. Not today. It was desolate. The eerie quiet was almost unsettling. I got to go out to the very middle of the busiest intersection on the most trafficked street in the state of Tennessee... and spend 15 minutes with my camera and tripod to capture this! When I talked to the policeman who came from nearby, he was happy to pull around the corner and maintain this clear shot for me. (We kept a respectful 6 feet of distance of course) I hope you are all safe and staying as active as you can, while we wait for this to blow over =)

  2. Nashville Skyline Turquoise Hi. My name is Craig Alexander and I am a skyline photographer. 6 years ago, after a 90 hour work week, I drove into Nashville , walked across one of the longest pedestrian bridges in the world and shot a skyline of the city just after sunset. I sent the image off to the printer and a roll of 3 raw canvases arrived about a week later. (This is the other, dark blue skyline you'll see in this Nashville collection). I put it onto a wooden frame and hung it up in the gallery I was working in, it sold out in 48 hours. I ordered 11 more and they sold out within the week. This launched my career. I continued working 80/90 hour weeks and continued travelling the world building my portfolio. Paris, NYC, London, Venice, LA, Florida, DC, Denver, Montreal, Chicago, Quebec, Ireland, Toronto and many more. But I always intended to come back to Nashville one day, and I did about a month ago.

  3. Last night I went out and shot the same image, but updated for 2019, reflecting all the growth that's happened in this beautiful place in the past 6 years.
