  2. Soon after the first land and water transportation inventions, transportation moved fast. People began to create different air transportations. Air transportation is movement of Goods, people, or ideas in the air. I can use air transportation!

  3. The first known air transportation was the hot air balloon in 1783. This was a very long Time ago. Hot air balloons are mainly used for sightseeing and fun. I can use air transportation!

  4. The next air transportation created was in 1903. The Wright brothers made and flew The first airplane. They flew the first airplane in our state! - North Carolina. You can visit The first flight memorial and museum in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. I can use air transportation!

  5. After airplanes, a similar air transportation was created – the helicopter. Helicopter's Transport people from place to place. They are also often used to move patients to Hospitals when they are sick. I can use air transportation!

  6. The modern day jet plane was created next, in 1940. The jet plane moves people Very fast. I can use air transportation!

  7. Space shuttles were invented in 1987. They can fly a far way. They transport people – astronauts, to space to study the solar system – like stars and planets. I can use air transportation!
