  1. RECIPE TO MAKE FLAVORED GHEE AT HOME Ghee is considered one of the best food sources in the diet and is beneficial for everyone in moderation. So, you must familiarize yourself with ghee recipes for good health. Ghee recipes do wonders for your health. First, it rids your body of impurities, such as fats and milk solids. Ghee is used in many recipes for cooking and flavoring. Ingredients and Materials You Need to Make Ghee You need 1 pound unsalted butter, a few sheets of cheesecloth, a large saucepan or pot, a clean container, or a one-pound glass jar with a lid and a strainer. First, melt the butter in a saucepan or large pot on low to medium until it starts boiling. You will get to hear a popping sound. Do not stir. Take away from the heat when the bubbling and popping noise goes down. Sediments present at the bottom of the pot will start turning golden brown. The ghee will turn to a clear golden or amber color. Usually, this takes about 20 minutes. A darker color means overdone ghee. So, you should leave the ghee on the heated stove. Allow the heated ghee to cool for 10-20 minutes and then line a strainer with some cheesecloth and strain the ghee into clean containers.

  2. Apart from making the ghee, there are a few points that you need to bear in mind. Ghee at room temperature has a semi-solid texture and looks yellow. It needs to be refrigerated, and if it is prepared and not exposed to contaminates, it will stay afresh for over a year even if you do not store it in the fridge. It melts quickly when exposed to heat. Always have a clean spoon to scoop out ghee for use. Making Flavored Ghee with Herbs Making ghee with herbs is very easy. You need to follow the same recipe as mentioned above, but you need to infuse some herbs or spices, such as mint, cardamom, or cloves. In order to infuse the herbs, you need to add them to the butter either at the beginning or at any point of making ghee. But it is best to infuse herb after the butter has melted.
