  1. eTwinning project Say it with Art Czech team, French team by Ivana Chalupová

Project description • This project is the result of collaboration between elementary school students trying to show serious themes like feminism, racism, homophobia, animal cause and dictatorship with an artistic perspective. The main form of pupils' work was drawing, photography, shooting videos, singing. The main topics were animal rights and discrimination. The pupils worked together. • At first they presented themselves in the form of paintings. They continued to find out about the two main topics, explain the concepts and compare the situation in both countries. • They were finding out the reality in both countries and looking for a solution. • During their work they were involved in voluntary work to help animals and minorities. They introduced our project to schoolmates, but also to the public of our city. • As a result, we will continue to disseminate information about human rights and animal rights and continue to help them.

  5. Czech and French pupils were watching videos together, searching for and listening to the songs about the discriminated. Studying and searching for information

  6. First, they studied concepts and collected information on groups of discriminated minorities. The challenge was to look around and capture these groups by taking pictures. Clarifying terms-Discrimination

  7. Another task was to render the theme by drawing. Czech and France friends also drew pictures together. Discrimination-Drawing

  8. Czech pupils have composed a song on the subject and the French students sang it as well. Czech and France friends sang Bilal Hassani´s Eurovission song –Roi together . Discrimination-Singing

  11. Video Presentation Discrimination • Czech and French pupils created video presentations on discrimination.

  12. Christmas Czech and French friends celebrated Christmas. They exchanged greetings and sent small gifts and sweets from their lands.

  13. Clarification of terms - Animal rights Pupils studied the internet, books, watched videos and songs and tried to find out what was hidden under the term Animal Rights. Pupils tried to express what are Animal Rights.

  14. Animal Rights Drawing Pupils drew pictures and expressed areas where animal rights were violated.

  15. Czech-French pictures The friends of both countries also drew one picture together. Czech pupils started and French students completed the idea.

  16. Animal Rights- Photos Another task for the pupils was to look around and take pictures of animals where their rights were violated.

  17. Presentation of endangered animal species Czech pupils also surveyed endangered species of the Czech Republic and compiled presentations.

  18. Endangered animals-pictures The students then drew these critically endangered animals.

  19. Book of stories Another task for our students was to write animal stories. Then they have created a story book.

  20. Songs, verses and rhymes • Writing verses and lyrics in English was a very difficult task for the pupils. The result was two songs and a few rhymes.

  21. Video Presentation-Animal Rights The pupils of France and the Czech Republic have created their videos on animal rights. At the same time, they tried to find suitable solutions to the problem.

  22. Presentation of the project to the public. The pupils also presented the project to parents and the public. They learned about their project activities and explained the urgent need to help people and animals. They also showed their work to their friends at school on a notice board.

  23. Enriching school subjects with a project By completing the project's tasks, the pupils enriched the project other school subjects and lessons. It became more interesting. Students enriched English, Informatics, Science, History, Music and Art. French friends also Geography and History through the study of Dictatorship in Belarus.

  24. At the same time, pupils also participated in other projects that help people or animals. We called this activity „10 good deeds“. These included visits to seniors, raising money for sick children, or finances to help animals in shelters and the zoo. Cooperation with other projects

  25. Eurovision Song Contest • French students chose 5 political and favorite songs from the EU. Then the students of both countries voted the best song. Czech and France songs won .

  26. A survey of animal rights • The students of both countries surveyed their schools. First, they created a questionnaire, then asked their classmates. The theme was animal rights. The results were compared.

  27. Project evaluation • Finally, the students of the Czech Republic and France evaluated the project's contribution. They made new friends from another country, enriched English, but also other subjects. They have gathered new knowledge and also realized the serious problems of people and animals that need to be resolved globally. Pupils enjoyed the project.
