  1. Why travel A little about myself~ Teacher. Spanish enthusiast. I love doing mission work and traveling. Why I’m doing this~ As a Spanish teacher travel makes me a better teacher. Seeing all 21 Spanish- speaking countries is my bucket list! Traveling abroad was a huge motivator to me as a student. Benefits to your child~ People who travel abroad seem to have a better sense of the world and are sensitive to others’ culture and needs. Research shows that you will actually be a better student if you travel abroad.

  12. My approach to safety My 6-to-1 chaperone ratio (for every six students there is one adult chaperone) Most of our hotels will have wifi. EF also offers international phones you can purchase very affordably. My rules -No drugs, alcohol, or nicotine -Stay with group at all times -Stay in your hotel room during hours set by chaperones -No guys in girls’ rooms/ no girls’ in guys rooms -You must attend all scheduled events -Always let an adult know where you are going no matter how close by it is If a traveler (student or adult) violates my rules, I have the right to send them home from tour at the parents’ expense.

  13. What are you responsible for? Spending money for optional excursions, free time activities, souvenirs, beverages, lunches and snacks ($30-$65 per day) Tips for your Tour Director, bus driver and local guides (around $10 per day) Passport and/or visa fees (no visa fees at this time) These are all necessities each traveler will be responsible for on this tour.

Passports and visas All travelers are responsible for securing necessary documentation Valid passports are required for all travelers Passports may take up to 14 weeks to process Some destinations may require travel visas Non-U.S. citizens may require special visas or other travel documents Important note: Passports must be valid for at least six months after our scheduled return date Cost for those under 16 around $120, over 16 around $140 Visit travel.state.gov to obtain passport application, have passport photos taken at Walgreens, Walmart or CVS, and take application to court house

  18. Is this a good price? • I asked a lot of teachers. Everyone recommends EF. I checked with other companies.   21. Fundraising ideas Parents this is where we NEED your help! Let me know if you are interested in fundraising. I will be asking one of you to be in charge of fundraising outside of school. I am only allowed to do so much directly through the school. Ideas -Websites you can set up to get donations from friends & family ( gofundme.com) -Bake sales -Babysitting, house/dogsitting , housecleaning -Make and sell something -El Chico restaurant will donate a portion of their profit on a selected night -Change bucket at local businesses -Coca Cola products -Schwan’s foods -Auction & dinner -Garage sale -Concert
