  2. Faith and Football at Notre Dame Ryan Harris, offensive tackle from St. Paul, Minnesota, played in the 2002-2006 seasons. Was a practicing Muslim but kept the Notre Dame tradition of attending mass before games and receiving a religious medal Was also involved in community service at a local Catholic parish and the Boys and Girls club
  3. Rami Hammad Signed to play football for the Texas Longhorns Practicing Muslim who collaborated with coaches in order to honor his fast during Ramadan, where he did not eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset Fasted through the scorching summer weather, sometimes during two-a-day practices, and only broke the fast three times during the thirty day period Says that his dedication to Islam may only be surpassed by his devotion to football

Hijabs in the Sports Scene Ibtihaj Muhammad- a fencer on team USA who is currently in training for the 2016 Olympic Games-could become the first Muslim American woman to compete at the Olympic Games in a hijab There has been debate on women wearing the hijab and playing soccer. A Dutch designer created a sports-headscarf, Capster, to challenge Fifa’s ban on the scarves, as well as to support players who want to wear them.

Fordson High School A predominately Arab-American high school in Dearborn, Michigan- is the city with the highest population of Arabs outside of the Middle East Documentary follows four players on the school’s football team as they prepare for a huge cross town rivalry game during the last ten days of Ramadan Depicts not only the players' outer struggle to overcome the hunger and thirst of fasting as they prepare for the big game, but also their inner struggle to reconcile their Arab heritage with their American birthright
