  2. California’s Labor Market Information Division • The CA Labor Market Information Division offers information and services to support informed hiring, planning and decision making • Comprehensive web site at www.labormarketinfo.edd.ca.gov • Labor Market Consultants located throughout the state

What is Labor Market Information? • Information about the market where labor skills are exchanged for wages.  Information can be descriptive (qualitative) or statistical (quantitative).   • The key elements in the labor market are the workers (labor resources) and jobs (employment opportunities).

  4. Labor Market Information Includes: • Demographic data such as population and labor force statistics • Industry employment • Occupational and career information • Wage data • Other economic data Most of this data is available online for California and other states.
