The Riverview Community Plan Workshop, led by Lisa Silva, AICP, RLA, Principal Planner, focuses on shaping the community's future. This event deciphers the Riverview study area located south of Bloomingdale Ave and along the Alafia River. Through collaborative phases, participants engage with expert speakers and the advisory committee to address critical issues, explore opportunities, and refine the community's vision. Community Plan Goals • Goal 1: Achieve better design and densities that are compatible with Riverview.

Goal 2: Seven Districts • Hwy 301 - Corridor Provide a safe, attractive and efficient corridor system that contributes to the character and economic well-being of the community and provides a sense of arrival. • Downtown - Focus and direct development to create a recognizable walkable mixed–use downtown district. • Riverfront- Recognize and protect the historical, scenic, recreational and environmental value of the Alafia River.
Goal 2: Seven Districts • Mixed Use - Focus and direct development toward walkable mixed-use town centers locations throughout the community while respecting the existing land uses. • Residential - Encourage attractive residential development that complements the surrounding character and promotes a diversity of housing types.
