  1. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will learn from those ahead of me Hebrews 12:1-3 Do you see what this means-all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running - and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this...

  2. Hebrews 12:1-3 cont ..race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed - that exhilarating finish in and with God - he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honour, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he ploughed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

  3. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will learn form those ahead of me Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

  4. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will shake off the things that hold me back Heb 12:1 ....let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.

  5. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will shake off the things that hold me back 2 Tim 2:4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.

  6. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will keep going Heb 12:1b let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us

  7. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will keep going “The essential thing in heaven and earth is that there is a long obedience in the same direction.” Frederick Neitsche

  8. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will keep going “..there's a great market for religious experience in our world, but there is little enthusiasm for the patient acquisition of character and virtue.” Eugene Peterson

  9. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will keep going 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.

  10. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will keep going, whatever it takes Phil 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

  11. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will keep going Phil 3:8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ

  12. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will keep going, whatever it takes 2 Cor 4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

  13. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will keep going, whatever it takes John 6:66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

  14. Sustaining spiritual momentum I will keep going, whatever it takes John 6:67-68 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
