New Founder, New Features Meanwhile on Sep 2018 the ex Co-founders Kevin and Mike announced Adam Mosseri as new Head of Instagram.Adam began his career as a designer, managed his own design consultancy, and then joined the facebook design team in 2008. Since he joined, he moved from design into product management, and spent time working on mobile then News feed and most recently he was recruited to instagram. Along with this, a new announcement were also made, Instagram launches its new shopping features.
New shopping Feature Instagram announced two new updates to its app recently, making it easier for users to purchase items featured by businesses and influencers. Users will be able to click links to purchase items from stories and from the explore tab. Shopping on instagram gives our business an immersive storefront for people to explore your best products. In such a way instagram occupies a major role in social media marketing and e-commerce.
How does it work? • To enable product tags in posts and products stickers in stories, you will need to have products linked to your Facebook Catalog. Once you set up your catalog, you will be able to create shopping posts and shopping stories; as well as view insights on how your shopping posts are performing.When someone taps a product tag on your post or a sticker in your story, they will be taken to a product description page where they will see: • An image of the product from your post • A description of the product • How much the product costs • A link that takes them directly to your website, where they can • purchase the product.
