HOAP • Proceed with obtaining Charitable Status for HOAP • Outsource contractual person to proceed with steps required to obtain registered Charitable Status • This is key to the ability to solicit sponsorship and/or donations for future HOAP projects
HOAP • Construction Agreement will specify items to be renovated and will be agreed upon by HOAP and the individual family involved. • Construction Agreement to be reviewed and approved by HOAP • Once approved Agreement will be signed by authorized HOAP partner and purchasing family
HOAP • Create separate bank account for purchase of materials not donated. • Maintain one bank account for seed funds • Add a second bank account for project materials not donated and labour costs

HOAP • Consider a material stockpile – a commitment from suppliers for an “in kind account” • Revamp sponsorship package to include a type of “in kind account” • Materials could be “promised” by various suppliers in advance • Popular materials such as drywall, cabinet grade wood, plumbing fixtures, electrical supplies, flooring could be secured for upcoming projects
HOAP • Create a Sponsorship/Donation Task Force to be made up of stakeholder representatives other than those involved directly with the Partnership. • Recruit a representative from each Partner organization to form a Task Force to solicit donations and sponsorships • The Task Force would report directly to the original HOAP partner committee • Task Force would be required to follow mandate set out by HOAP
