  8. Climate • Cool winters • Warm summers • Spring and fall are mild

  9. Temperature • Gets to 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer • Gets as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter • In spring and fall in can get to 30 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit

  10. Rainfall • Irregular • Very rare • It gets as high as 10 inches • It gets as low as I inches

  11. Facts The grasslands are also known to be the savannahs, prairies, steppes, plains, and pampas. Located in the states that are listed: South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Resources in grasslands are coal, oil, crops, petroleum, and ranching. Rivers in the grasslands are the Platte, Missouri, Canadian, Arkansas, and Saskatchewan rivers.
