  2. PAIN AND TEMPERATURE Receptors in dermis and epidermis Dorsal root ganglion  dorsal horn of spinal cord Cross to lateral spinothalamic tract and ascend to Ventral Posterior Lateral (VPL) nucleus of the Thalamus Post Central Gyrus Reflex arc present at the spinal cord level

PROPRIOCEPTION, FINE TOUCH, VIBRATION Receptors in muscles, joints and tendons Dorsal root ganglionipsilateral dorsal white column Lumbosacral inputfasciculus gracilis Thoracocervical inputfasciculus cuneatus Synapse nucleus gracilus and cuneatus Ascend via Medial lemniscus midbrain Ventroposterior Lateral Thalamus Post Central Gyrus

  7. SENSATION FROM FACE Input via the trigeminal nerve (Cranial nerve V) Opthalmic (V1) , Maxillary (V2) and Mandibular (V3) branches Projections to trigeminal ganglion (pons) and nucleus (medulla) Fibers cross and ascend to the Ventral Posterior Medial (VPM) Thalamus
