  1. OLYMPIC GAMES All the main information you need about the Olympic Games.

  2. Where • The Olympic Games were held in Greece, Athens. • At the Olympic Stadium, also known as one of the coliseums.

  3. When • The first Olympic Games were in the 776 BC. They played it every four years, midsummer . But they played it when it was a full moon so that it could go on through the night.

  4. Why • The Olympic games were celebrated to the honor of Zeus the king of the gods. They were playing to be crowned the Olympiad.

  5. Who Only Greeks could compete in the event. People accused for murder or sacrilege could compete. Even the audience couldn’t be people who were accused of sacrilege.

  6. What • The Olympic games. Also known as the game of the Olympiad. It is celebrated to the honor of Zeus, when he tried to pick an Olympiad to work for him
