  2. 2012 20th Anniversary Faculty Twenty years ago….. • Gas cost $1.05 per gallon. • Average income per year = $30,030 • Ross Perot announces he will run as an independent in the upcoming presidential race against Bill Clinton and President Bush. • Hurricane Andrew hits South Florida on August 22.

  3. 2012 20th Anniversary Faculty Twenty years ago….. • Windows 3.1 released by Microsoft. • Aladdin, Home Alone 2, Batman Returns, Basic Instinct, and Honey, I Blew Up the Kids played in movie theatres. • Nirvana, U2, Eric Clapton, Madonna, and Boyz II Men were popular musicians. • Home Improvement, L.A. Law, Married…With Children, and Star Trek: The Next Generation were on television sets across the country.

  4. 2012 20th Anniversary Faculty At IUPUI, 20 years ago, • University Hospital Outpatient Center completed. • The Center for Urban Policy and the Environment was established. • Trudy Banta was named Vice Chancellor for Planning and Institutional Improvement. • Angela McBride was named dean of the School of Nursing. • IUPUI applied for admission into NCAA Division II.
