2. Example of the Title Page. Students added pictures that represented items from the novel. Has the title of the book, author, and their name.

3. This student added pictures that represented some of the topics that the characters discussed between themselves. When putting in the captions for the pictures, they worded it as if they were one of the characters. Therefore, it is in first person and refers to “my brother, my uncle, etc.”

4. Pictures can be real pictures taken with a camera, hand drawn, or printed off the internet. Just like in a real scrapbook, there are captions on each telling the reader about the experience.

5. The pictures are sometimes of everyday items. It’s the wording of the captions that describes how that item was used or referred to within the scene of the book that is the importance. See on the right side…. It’s handwritten while the one on the left is typed. Student preference and it can be a blending. The one on the right has “pages of a letter” coming out of the envelope that was mailed home to the family.

6. Things can be handmade, too! Other times regular household items can be added and tapped down.

7. 3-D is fun to do, too, especially for the hard to find items. The one on the right is an example of one of the formative assignments… they are to choose 3 out of the 12 to do and include it as the last 3 pages of their scrapbook.
