What does an Essay look like? • It is a piece of continuous writing which is divided into paragraphs • It should present information in a linear format, so that paragraphs ‘hang together’ effectively and the information is presented sequentially & logically.
The Writing Process • Crack the Code Decide what the question is asking, using tutor, peers, BUG system • Gather information Pull together relevant information from a variety of sources • Put your ideas together Draft and edit your arguments in written format • Tidy up, check and correct Proof read your work to clear it of errors.
