Logistics - Aspire • October 9 ACT Aspire: • 155 students (3 taking DLM) • ONLINE Assessment: Rm. 170, 171, 172, 204, 210, 312, LMC; PNP students in rooms 146 & 148 • Math (65 min) & Writing (30 min) • 14 Room Supervisors (Trained Proctors) • 8 Release Crews (2 teachers on 2nd and 3rd floor atriums and 4 teachers on 1st floor) • 2 Teachers for Late Arrival Crew (Rm. 134) • 6 Snack Crew (9:30 – 9:50 break) • 3 Calculator Crew (math teachers)

Logistics – ACT Practice • October 9 – ACT Practice part 1 • 120 – 150/189 expected, must take both parts • May take at other locations (for a fee payable to ACT) • Required for all Juniors on March 3 and 4, 2015 • NMSQT (We have 3 this year!) • Paper and Pencil, ACT plus Writing • Asking for community proctors in addition to 10 – 14 teachers • English teachers will be trained in grading writing assessment 10/9, will grade on 10/30

  6. Logistics - WKCE • October 30 – WKCE & ACT Practice part 2 • Science - 50 minutes ( 2 25-minutes tests) • Social Studies – 50 minutes ( 2 25-minute tests) • 180 Sophomores • Same Junior students from part 1

  7. Test Prep & Proctor Training Informal in class practice ASR pull out Hands on computer lab practice

  8. Practice ACT • October 9 – Reading, Science & Writing • October 30 – English & Math • http://www.actstudent.org/sampletest/- Sample tests organized by subject, great for SMART board bell work. Interactive with feedback on incorrect and correct answers • http://www.act.org/qotd/ - Question of the Day. Varies by subject, excellent resource for students to access independently on phones/computers

Proctors • ACT Aspire Proctors – computer savvy teachers of freshmen students • One 30-minute training required, offered Oct. 2 3:30 and Oct. 3 at 7:15 • Key points from the training manual • 4 minute video • Test session start walkthrough • ACT Practice Test Proctors – teachers of junior students • One 30-minute training session • Preparation for March 2015 ACT proctoring
