  4. Training Officer – Responsible for maintaining the appropriate degree of training and professional conduct for staff and recruits. The TO will ensure that all company-level training (close order drill, uniform appearance, barracks appearance, watch standing, general orders, etc) is being taught in accordance with the SOP, as well as ensuring that classroom topics (academics) are taught by an appropriate instructor, be it officer, staff cadet, or civilian. The training officer will make and distribute the final exam. • Additional officers who are serving in week-long capacities will work under the Training Officer to teach classes and lead instruction.

  5. Operations Officer – Ensures compliance with the SOP and POD. The OPSO will observe each company individually and the battalion as a whole, as well as staff officers and cadets to optimize the allotted time and maintain an high standard of efficiency for the duration of the training evolution.

  6. Administrative Officer – Calculate and produce necessary statistics and reports for NHQ and the training command as well as manage and maintain personnel jackets and computer records. May also work with website and/or email in the absence of an Information Technology Officer

  7. Supply/Finance Officer – Works under the direction of the OPSO to facilitate the logistical support of the training grounds including linens and laundry needs. The SO will keep record of all supplies and equipment issued and will procure such items as needed. Purchases will be approved by the COTC and a record of each transaction must be made available to the admin officer.

  8. Medical Officer – Professionally trained medical person(s) who are responsible for all matters of physical safety from proper hydration and first aid to more severe injuries. The MO will distribute any and all medications and will arrange an emergency medical plan with the local hospital and fire dept. prior to training.

  9. Division Officers (4) – Work directly under the Training Officer and are responsible for the day-to-day operations of their respective companies. They are to ensure safety and welfare of the recruits and staff assigned to their command as well as directing the Senior Drill Instructor during company time and for training purposes.

  10. Cadet Organization

  11. Lead Petty Officer (LPO) – Must be PO2 or above, have completed POLA, participated in a previous AT, and have previous experience as a staff cadet. This cadet must also have a recommendation from his or her unit CO. The LPO is responsible to the OPSO and is the liaison between junior and senior staff.

  12. Asst. Lead Petty Officer (ALPO)– Must be PO2 or above, have completed POLA, participated in a previous AT, and have previous experience as a staff cadet. ALPO must also have a recommendation from their unit CO. The ALPO is responsible to the Training Officer and works directly under the LPO. He will assist in cadet matters as well as supervision of CCs.

  13. Company Commander (CC) (4) – Must be PO3 or above, have completed POLA, participated in a previous AT, have previous experience as a staff cadet. Must be recommended by unit CO. The CC is responsible to the Division Officer and directs the day-to-day training of recruits in his/her company.

  14. Asst. Company Commander (ACC) (5) – Must be PO3 or above and have completed a leadership course (local or national). Must be recommended by unit CO. Works directly under the CC and is responsible for assisting the CC and conducting training in accordance with the CC, DivO, and LPO.
