  1. TEARING DOWN STRONGHOLDS Tearing down to build up

  2. STRONGHOLD Stronghold: building a fortress or castle through arguments and reasoning by which one endeavors to fortify his opinion and defend it against his opponent. Childhood coping skills can turn into strongholds as an adult. I Cor. 13

  3. VAIN/CORRUPT IMAGES VAIN: “Shav” to bring to nothing, worthlessness, lies, deception, falsehood Imaginations: An imagination is a mental picture seen within the spirit of your mind. It’s a picture of something created in the mind of man, or said another way, the unseen realm of “the Spirit of your mind. (As a man is in his heart, so is he) Vain imaginations are deceptive lies which become the mortar of our stronghold. Once we’ve fortified our stronghold thru reasoning and arguments, we’ve exalted it above the throne of God - the “High Place” Satan wanted to occupy. (Is. 14:12-14)

  4. Stronghold of the Tongue James 3 says the tongue can set a forest on fire and is itself set on fire from hell. Gossip transfers thoughts and imaginations to others causing them to think a certain way about a situation. Be careful what words you take into your heart as “Life and death are in the power of the tongue.”

  5. Stronghold of Witchcraft Using people through manipulative words for your gain is witchcraft. Intentionally manipulating a person to do something that benefits you and harms others Emotional manipulation is witchcraft

  6. USING YHVH’S NAME IN VAIN Attaching “GOD’S NAME” to an ungodly situation, event, circumstance is using HIS name in vain. Example: Christmas & Easter

  7. HOW DO WE TEAR DOWN STRONGHOLDS MADE OF CORRUPT IMAGES?

  8. CORRUPT IMAGES IN TORAH “MASA’EI:” Breaking up the camp "Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, (52) then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their figured stones and destroy all their metal images (vain imaginations) and demolish all their high places. (strongholds)(53) And you shall take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it. Numbers 33:51-53

  9. CORRUPT IMAGES IN TORAH “RE ‘EH:” See or Behold You shall surely destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high places and on the hills and under every green tree. (3) You shall tear down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and burn their Asherim (Ashtarte/Ishtar – goddess of love, corrupt image) with fire. You shall chop down the carved images (vain or corrupt) of their gods and destroy their name out of that place. (4) You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way. Dt. 12:2-4

  10. TEARING DOWN VAIN IMAGINATIONS(corrupt images) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not fight according to the flesh. (4) For the weapons we fight with are not fleshly but mighty in Elohim for tearing down strongholds, (5) overthrowing reasoning and every high matter that exalts itself against the knowledge of Elohim, taking captive every thought to make it obedient to the Messiah, 2Corinthians 10:3-5

  11. RECOGNIZE THE CORRUPT IMAGE Vain images are an attack on the Purpose of Your Life! If the enemy kept Israel from entering / conquering the land of Israel, it destroyed the purpose of Israel. TODAY, YHVH IS STILL SAYING TO ISRAEL: drive out all the inhabitants(illegal occupants) of the land (your temple) and destroy all their figured stones and metal images (vain imaginations) and demolish all their high places. (strongholds)

  12. TAKE THE IMAGE CAPTIVE Israel had to make a choice and trust YHVH for VICTORY over the enemies in the land. Mt. 21:18-22 “…if you trust and do not doubt, you will say to this mountain (HIGH PLACE) be removed… Take the thoughts (vain images) in your mind captive and present them to Yeshua. Mt. 16:19 binding and loosing Stand on HIS WORD – find a scripture Change your environment “I’m going to make every imagination and every thought obedient to Yeshua’s word that I might test what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of YAH concerning me.”

  13. SH’MAH: Hear, Listen, Obey YHVH speaks to us “Spirit to Spirit” Num. 33:50 YHVH spoke to Moshe (to draw out of the water. When Moshe was drawn out he was drawn in) Israel had to be drawn out of Egypt and pass through the water, to be drawn in. (John 15:15 “abide IN ME and I in you) When YHVH speaks, there is no wondering or question; “Is this really YAH?” Satan whispers to the “spirit of your mind.” (emotions, intellect, reasoning, imaginations - Eve) If you are wondering or questioning; “did GOD say?” you are hosting vain imaginations as Eve did in the garden.

  14. THE JOURNEY BEGINS(Recognize, Take Captive, Sh’mah) “Finally brothers and sisters, keep your thoughts(imaginations) on whatever is right or deserves praise: things that are true, honorable, fair, pure, acceptable or commendable...(9)Then the GOD who gives this peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 Submit yourself to YAH, resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Rom 12:2
