The 5th Annual Curriculum and Instruction Summit, held on November 13-14, 2012, focused on the Writing Standards in Action Project. Led by experts such as Bill Amorosi, Dave Buchanan, and Michele Sodergren, the summit aimed to address the importance of writing in education, exploring collaborative scoring and effective writing processes that enhance reading comprehension. Key topics included curriculum strategies, student writing resources, and the critical role of writing in various subjects.
