  4. What is a Futurist • Futurist is a catalyst to get people to think and discuss the future • Everyone should think about the future. Educational organizations should make sure students and teachers think about the future, future goals and progress.

  5. Suturing is an important practice for the field of education because education prepares the next generation to build, grow, learn and make new advancements. • In 5 years the future will be made up of more technology. Schools will have more technology and everything will be paper less. Job will not use paper and everything will be digital. • Scenarios and scanning should be used together by Futurist each method has its pros and cons but together Futurist can make a better predication into what the future will be.

  6. Two trends that play an important role in Future Vision project is • New tech Networking • Students taking charge of their Future. • The task of educating learners needs to be reexamined. The process of education has to change. Student centric learning and the need to use technology to assist with the learning process has to have new training for better learning. New technology can assist in student centric learning. (Leer, 2013)

  7. The increase of technology and training caused increase to the national budget. Economic/budgetary and public policy trends together. The budget has to be in line with new trends. If public policy trends are established the goal is to have the budget in line with the economy. The goal of education is the make students more career driven. (Rashid, 2012)

  8. Job Corps Special Education 2019 • The organization/classroom for the special education 2019 Job Corps location will be located in Dover Delaware. • The new Job Corps facility will feature brand new technology; this building will be the largest facility and will be unlike any other facility. This facility will only have special education students that meet the qualifications for Job Corps.

  9. Call to Action • In order to fulfil my 2019 Vision steps must be taken to ensure students and parents are satisfied with the new Job Corps idea, location and the goal can be obtained. Education and a job is the goal for Job Corps. Students will also be taught emotional and developmental skills unlike other centers that focus on education and training only.

  10. Future Technology in Job Corps • The two technologies that are currently used in Job Corps is Cloud computing, and mobile learning. The use of technology in Job Corps is essential because students are coming from different states and locations. Technology has to be the same to have measurable and objective goals put in place. Cloud computing is important with learning.
