This document outlines a strategic approach to enhance on-time graduation rates by fostering ownership among students at risk, analyzing their progress, and deploying tailored interventions. It highlights actionable theories, such as the importance of effective learning communities, continuous problem solving, and consistent monitoring of student progress. The structured meeting schedules, including centralized and localized gatherings, aim to provide updates, solve pressing issues, and forecast logistics. By implementing these strategies, the goal is to increase four-year graduation rates by 2% in 2015.

On-time graduation • 1.1.a 100% of students graduate • Theories of action • Structure & schedule • ‘Round One’ template
Theories of action If the on-time graduation learning community (OTG-LC): • increases and distributes ownership of the students at risk of not graduating (on time or at all), and • frequently analyzes the data that illustrate students’ progress toward graduation, and • deploys interventions specific to individual student’s needs, • then other support members of the leadership team will more effectively: • mobilize resources and solutions on their students’ behalf; • offer strategic peer feedback; and • support and learn from the work , • and 4-year graduation rates will improve by 2% in 2015.
Theories of action • If school-based learning communities frequently and consistently unpack problems of practice, establish systems, set benchmarks, and monitor student progress at the local level: • then 4-year graduation rates will improve by 2% in 2015.
Structure and schedule of the work in 2014-15 • Summary • Five centralized benchmark meetings: all OTG-LC members attend • Twelve local meetings: all OTG-LC members attend • Two localized meetings in mid-spring (only OTG Director and Assoc./Asst. Superintendents attend with entire HS team (counselors, teacher leaders, success coordinators, etc.).
Meeting Structure Mapping out Success for 2014-2015 Purpose: To provide the larger OTG learning community with an update on progress to date regarding the countdown toward on-time graduation for FGY 2015
Meeting Structure Work session Purpose: To solve pressing and longstanding issues related to OTG processes and tools, for the ultimate purpose of improving efficiencies and effectiveness.
Meeting Structure On the horizon: Purpose: To forecast important upcoming events and coordinate logistics.
