  2. Allowed to is to give permission to somebody (may be your parents, teacher, a friend or anybody gives permission). For example: 1. He is allowed to use my laptop. (means I have given him the permission to use my laptop). 2. Marcel is allowed to use mobile phones in school. ( means the school has given permission to Marcel to use mobile). NOT allowed to means permission is not given by somebody May be your parents, teacher, a friend or anybody). For example: We are allowed to eat anything in the university campus. People are not allowed to meet the celebrities.

  3. ‘ Allowed to’ and ‘not allowed to’ always follow the • verbs such as: Am, is , are , was ,were • Negative sentences are formed by adding not, • to these verbs such as: • Am + not = ain’t • Is + not = isn’t • Are + not = aren’t • Was + not = wasn’t • Were + not = weren’t
