  2. My library • User service “My library” in COBISS/OPAC • Service allows the user - library member: • Loan, renewal and reservation of publications • Interlibrary loan • Electronic notifications

  3. My library • Loan, reservation and renewal • Reservation of free items • Reservation of the item on loan • Renewal of the loan period

  4. My library • Interlibrary loan • Ordering of item for interlibrary loan (books, serials) • Copy purchase (component part in a monograph, articles in a serial, standard, etc.

My library • Before the service is activated the library needs to set some parameters • Settings withcommand EDIT OPAC : • Phone for information • E-mail for users • E-mail for information about reservations • E-mail for e-notifications • Maximum number of renewals • Maximum number of reservations • Maximum number of reservations per user • Notifications for users (in Serbian and English)

My library • EDIT NOTIFYdetermines the way of informing the users • Information by e-mail • Information by SMS • User can select: • Message about reservation expiry • Message about availability of reserved material • Message about forthcoming expiry of loan period • Message about forthcoming overdue notice • Message about membership expiry • General library messages

My library • Reservation (ordering) of free items • Reservations (commandcheck/reservation, shows a list of the new received reservation) should be checkedin COBISS2/Loan • See if any of the ordered items can be found on the shelves • Change item status (from O - orderedinto W - waiting) • Notify user of items that are waiting for him

My library • Reservation of loaned items • In COBISS2/Loanreservation by OPAC is recorded automatically • Item gets the status R - reserved • If there are more reservations, the user is put on the waiting list • When the borrowed item is returned, its status must be changed (from R to W) • Notify user of item that is waiting for him

  10. My library • E-notification • CommandNotify – librarian sets the parameters • User sets parameters for notification • E-notifications unsuccessfully sent or returned (commandcheck/messages)
