GTPDOS • Created in 2010-2011 • Over 50 videos with a range of presenters • Overview of Best Practices, Regulations, and Instructional Practices • 6 Targeted Audiences- Administrators, All teachers, Art teachers, Coordinators of GT Programs, Guidance Counselors, and GT teachers • At least 16 options for each audience • Lots of GT coordinators, GT Coaches, Teacher Leaders, Specialty Area Professionals, and National Gurus presented these • SCDE Partnered with SCCGE and SCETV

  10. State of Gifted • In the catalog • 2011-12- 9 shows August- May • 2010-11- 9 shows • 2009-10- 8 shows • For the last 2 years, all shows are 30 minutes or less • Gives a good overview of month by month issues

  11. Research Based Curriculum • Published Curriculum • Used widely in the state • Features: Taped training sessions on Jacob’s Ladder, Mentoring Mathematical Minds, William and Mary Units • Also will have some Classes in Action using these units added this fall

Classes in Action • 25 + videos of all types of GT programs (and a couple AP and IB) from around the state. • We have filmed in every region of the state to share what is being done in those regions. • The idea was to add real life teaching to the best practices in the GTPDOS, so teachers could see what some of the instructional practices looked like in real life. Hopefully, they will see they can utilize some of these strategies and curriculum with their GT students.
