Earlylife • Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on October second in Porbandar, India.
Marriage • In May 1883, the 13-year-old Mohandas was married to 14-year-old KasturbaiMakhanji in an arranged child marriage. When Gandhi was 15, the couple's first child was born, but survived only a few days. Gandhi's father, Karamchand Gandhi, had also died earlier that year.
Ideology • When he was 15 years old he joined in the nationalist Hindu movement, where he leaded the campaign for the independence of India from great Britain.
Military tactics • He created a new kind of confrontation known as passive resistance where people make pressure by doing nothing.
Life in jail • He spent seven years in total in jail for his activities in India and South Africa as he thought it was an honor to go to jail for a fair reason.
Objectives • His main mission was to erase the castes and religions that divided India. This gave him many problems with authorities.
Victoryand war • With his help, India got it’s independencein 1947 and divided in two nations; India and Pakistan because of the battles between indians and muslims.
The solution • On 1948, he started a fast to stop this confrontation, which stopped after five days.
Final days • Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was assassinated twelve days after this event by an Hindu fanatic that opposed to his religious tolerance at New Delhi on 1948.
