  1. NCERT Solutions for Class 8 Maths – Square and Square roots In this post, we will discuss chapter 6 of Class 8th Maths. The topic of discussion is ‘Introduction to Square and Square roots’. We are well versed with the fact that area of a square = side *side, where side means the length of the side. If we will closely observe the numbers like 4, 9, 25, 64, 81, etc we will observe a fact which is these numbers can be rewritten as- 4=2*2 9=3*3 25=5*5 64=8*8 So, these numbers can be easily expressed as the product of the number itself and these types of numbers are also known as square numbers. If a natural number m can be expressed as n² where n is also a natural number, then m is a square number. Watch and learn Square and Square roots in an interesting manner. For demo click NCERT Class 8 Maths. How to find whether the number is a square number?

  2. Let us consider a number 32 We know that 5²=25 and 6²=36. If 32 is a square number, it must the square of a natural number between 5 and 6 and as we know that there is no natural number between 5 and 6. So 32 is not a square number. Number Square 1 1 2 4 3 9 4 16 5 25 6 36 7 49 8 64 9 81 10 100 The numbers 1, 4,9,16 are square numbers and these are also called perfect squares. For examples and practice questions click here CBSE 8th Class Maths. Now discuss the properties of square number as per Class 8 Maths syllabus. None of them are ending with 2,3,7, or 8 at units place. We can say that if a number ends with 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, or 9, then it must be a square number. If a number has 1 or 9 in the units place then its square ends in 1. Square Number 1 1 81 9 121 11 361 19 If we take a square number which ends with 6, the number whose square it is will have either 4 or 6 in units place. Square Number 16 4 36 6 196 14 256 16

  4.
