This workshop held by MUMM/RBINS in Lowestoft, UK, on June 2-3, 2009, focused on the processing of remote sensing data (RS) for marine environmental monitoring. MUMM's MARCOAST program presents mature CHL products aligned with EU-WFD and OSPAR requirements. The workshop showcased new multi-temporal products that enhance monitoring capabilities, including real-time daily CHL maps and detailed analyses of algal bloom timings and durations. Participants were encouraged to provide feedback on service requirements and data formats to improve future marine monitoring efforts.
