  2. John ClevelyTheYounger John Cleveley was born on the 24th of December 1747 and he died on the 25th of June 1786. His father and his brother were marine painters, like him. This painting is exposed at the National Maritime Museum.

  3. Thispicture has beencreated in 1778.In the foreground we can see three big ships with the English flag at the top. There are other flags at the bottom. The contrast of the lights (the clear sky and the dark sea) is typical of the time.In the sky there are two types of luminosity: on the left we can see that it’s very clear, but to the right it´s cloudy. In the background there is the port with the other ships and buildings. Next to the ship that is in the middle we can see a little boat. At this time, the British Navy, was one of the most powerful navies in the world. Its fleet was very important for its politics. This drawing shows it to us.

  4. George III, the King He was born on June 4, of 1738 and he died on January 29 of 1820. This King was the first sovereign to speak English as the first language. Under his reign Ireland was unified to the United Kingdom.
