The Legal Corps comprises Judge Advocates and trained paralegals who ensure justice within military law. Judge Advocates are experienced legal advisors that provide independent legal counsel while upholding high moral standards and impartiality. They handle summary trials and courts-martial, defending the accused and drafting legal documents. Paralegals, including NCOs with legal qualifications, support courtroom operations—transcribing proceedings, managing witnesses, and securing evidence. A Francophone NCO assists by taking notes during trials and investigations, promoting efficient legal processes.
