FRCPath part 1 written exam study group • (for Spring 2011) • Aims: • give organised support for ACC FRCPath part 1 written (and practical) candidates • avoid need for meetings (use website to share files) • focus on sharing of notes • focus on exam technique • Started in 2008 • Spring 2009 – 13/14 study group members passed • Spring 2010 – 12/16 study group members passed

FRCPath part 1 written exam study group Overall format July 2010 –planning meeting (Edinburgh) 20 participants August 2010 – January 2011 7 sessions of notes write notes upload to website (geneticstraining.org) to deadline read all notes write essay plan February 2011 –pre-exam meeting, mock exam, management topics, hot topics

  7. FRCPath part 1 written exam study group Mock exam Done during meeting in early February under exam conditions, marked by ex-examiners using college marking system
