  1. Complete the information below. Make sure that you include reference information to be used later. 1. Describe how the initial form of energy exists in nature. How is it formed? How abundant is it? Geothermal energy is clean, renewable and we can find it anywhere in the environment. The more powerful Geothermal energy come from deep within the earth. The second source of Geothermal energy is an a result of the suns rays beating down on the land surface. Geothermal is formed when hot magma in the surface directly heat groundwater the heat generated from these hots spots flows outward toward the surface, manifesting as volcanoes, geysers, and hot springs. Geothermal energy continue to be one of the most important energies in the world. GEOTHERMAL ENERGY. NANCY

  2. 1. Describe how the initial form of energy exists in nature. How is it formed? How abundant is it?Geothermal energy is clean, renewable and we can find it anywhere in the environment. The more powerful Geothermal energy come from deep within the earth. The second source of Geothermal energy is an a result of the suns rays beating down on the land surface. Geothermal is formed when hot magma in the surface directly heat groundwater the heat generated from these hot's spots flows outward toward the surface, manifesting as volcanoes , geysers , and hot springs. Geothermal energy continue to be one of the most important energies in the world.

  3. 2. How is the energy converted into a form used by humans? People used to heat their homes and to produce energy.

  4. 3. Provide examples of the technology to convert the energy into a usable form. Include pictures and descriptions here . Based on the information you gathered, rank these technologies on a scale of 1 (least important) to 10 (most important) Greenhouse ‍This small greenhouse is heated with geothermal water. ‍Plants growth faster and larger when they have additional heat available. ‍. Aquaculture (fish) Geothermal is also used to speed the growth of fish Onion Dehydration Plant Geothermal is also used for industrial used like lumber or food products Sidewalk Warming Pipes of Geothermal water can be installed under sidewalks and roads to keep them from icing in winter.

  5. 4. Benefits of using this technology. Create a list of how this technology will limit the impact humans have on the environment. Based on your own assessment, rank these benefits on a scale of 1 (least important) to 10 (most important) ‍ Geothermal does not create pollution ‍Geothermal does not use fuel to generate electricity.

  6. 5. What costs are associated with the technology? ‍the cost of geothermal can be extremely low depending how you approach use of this renewable energy.
