  2. Planting DO NOT PLANT ON SHABBOS! • You’re not allowed to water a plant on Shabbos. • You’re not even allowed to pull a branch of on Shabbos because it may cause a new branch to grow. Do not cause anything to grow on Shabbos

  3. Plowing • You’re not allowed to pull something heavy like a bench on soft dirt because it is digging a little bit. • You’re not allowed to play with marbles or sweep on soft dirt because may dig a little bit. “Please don’t plow on Shabbos (oops I’m planting and about to plow on Shabbos!)” Please don't plow on Shabbos!

  4. Harvesting • You’re allowed to hang a hammock on a tree by putting hooks on the tree (before Shabbos) because the tree is being used indirectly. • You’re not allowed to climb a tree on Shabbos because you may rip off some branches while you are climbing. Hashem will reward you If you keep Shabbos Keep Shabbos!

  5. Gathering • You’re not allowed to pick flowers and gather them. • You’re not allowed to string anything because you’re gathering the beads. Don’t gather on Shabbos Don't do any tipes of gathering!

  6. Another name for squeezing Is threshing Squeezing • You’re allowed to squeeze stuff on food because in the Mishkan Bnei Yisrael only squeezed olives for oil on the kailim of the mishkan and not on food. • Squeezing grapes for grape juice and olives for olive oil and milking a cow is all not allowed on Shabbos. Never squeeze on Shabbos exept on food

Winnowing Don’t let any of your animals do any of the 39 malachos • You’re not allowed to blow light stuff away from heavier stuff because the lighter stuff will get blown away and the heavier ones will stay. • You’re not allowed to let the wind blow one pile (that you piled) to another pile (that someone piled). Dont winnow on Shabbos!

  8. Selecting Did you know? Thatall of the 39 malachos were done in building the mishkan. • You’re allowed to select the good from the bad but not the bad from the good. • If something comes into your soup or your drink like a fly; remove the fly with the liquid because if you remove the fly without the liquid it would be selecting the bad from the good.Don’t Pull out Fish bones! Dont select on Shabbos!

  9. Grinding • You’re not allowed to scrape dry mud because you’re grinding the dry mud. • You’re not allowed to grind potatoes because you’re grinding the potatoes. Some people say that Muktza is only from one Of the 39 malachos! Please don't grind on Shabbos!

  10. Sifting • Sifting is a thing with tiny holes and people used to put like flower into the sifter to separate the big pieces from the flower. • You’re not allowed to cut something into tiny pieces because it will need sifting. Sifters were existing in the times of the Mishkan. Don't sift on Shabbos!

  11. Kneading The only reason We keep Shabbos Is because Hashem thh said we should! • You’re not allowed to mix water with sand with earth because you will have to knead it. • You’re not allowed to a thick food with a thin food (like oatmeal). Don't knead on Shabbos

  12. Hashem will Reward you if you Keep Shabbos. Baking • You’re not allowed to steer food on the stove because you’re helping the food cook • You’re not allowed to put something on something that is hot enough to cook the food. Please don't bake on Shabbos

  13. Shearing • You’re not allowed to comb hair on Shabbos because the brush may pull out a hair. • You’re not allowed to pluck a feather of a chicken (even if its dead). Hashem is always watching you if you Keep Shabbos Don't cut on Shabbos!

  14. Cleaning • You’re allowed to take off soft mud with a knife because you’re not scraping the mud. • You’re not allowed to scrub clothing because you’re scraping the mud on it. Don’t bleach on Shabbos! Don't bleach on Shabbos!

  15. Combing Shabbos is a mitzvah that has a lot of mitzvos in it • One of the reasons why you’re not allowed to comb is because the comb may pull out a few hairs. • You’re especially not allowed to comb cotton because the fur on the cotton comes off very easily. Don't comb on Shabbos!

  16. Dyeing If you listen to Hashem by Keeping Shabbos Hashem will pay you back by giving you what you ask in davening. • Not only are you not allowed to dye, color and paint you’re also not allowed to use invisible ink. • You’re not allowed to change the color of dye. Please don't dye on Shabbos!

  17. Spinning • You’re not allowed to spin a strand of fiber into threads with a spinner. • You’re not allowed to twist tzitzis into a strand. Don't spin on Shabbos! Hashem knows if you Keep Shabbos or not

  18. Threading a loom. A loom was invented over 4,000 years ago! • What is a loom? A loom is a machine (not electric) that you put threads in it and loom sews the threads together by pressing on a petal. • You’re not allowed to set up the string of a loom. Don't thread a loom on Shabbos!

  19. Threading harnesses • You’re not allowed to harnesses because that’s what they did at the mishkan. • Whatever type of work Bnei Yisrael did at the building of the mishkan you’re not allowed to on Shabbos. Did you know? Shabbos Is one of the biggest of all The 613 mitzvos. Don't thread harnesses on Shabbos!

  20. Weaving • You’re especially not all allowed to weave vertically and horizontally. • You’re not even allowed to add on to something and weave it on Shabbos. Did you know? That the torah has a separate malacha for sewing. Don't weave on Shabbos!

  21. Tying • You’re allowed to tie a single knot but not a double knot. • You’re also allowed to tie a bow. If You’re a Jew and you know about Shabbos And you don’t keep it Hashem will punish you. Don't tie a double knot on Shabbos!

  22. Untying • The only type of string that may be cut is string on string secured food. • You’re only allowed to untie a knotted shoe lace on Shabbos is when somebody is uncomfortable. Tying and untying are one of the most common malachos. Don't untie double knots on Shabbos!

  23. Patching • You’re not allowed to tape or glue 2 pieces of paper together. • You’re not allowed to pull out a thread to sew it again to make it tighter on Shabbos. if If you don’t patch on Shabbos Hashem may patch you up by making you rich. Don't patch on Shabbos

  24. Tearing • You’re not allowed to rip a page from a book for a useful purpose. • You’re not allowed to rip out designs for a useful purpose.

  25. Trapping • Your not allowed to catch sick or old animals on Shabbos. • A turtle is allowed to be caught on Shabbos because it is to slow to be considered free. Hashem won’t trap you by trapping you if you don’t trap an animal on Shabbos Don't trap on shabbos!

  26. Slathering • You’re not allowed to cause an animal to bleed • You’re not allowed to spray insects. If you don’t slather animals on Shabbos Hashem won’t punish you with death. I Don't slather on Shabbos!

  27. Skinning • The skin of raw chicken can be removed before eating it. • Not only are not allowed to tear of skin your not allowed to tear on part from another part. If you don’t skin on Shabbos Hashem won’t skin your money by making you poor. Don't skin on Shabbos!

  28. Salting • You’re not allowed to prepare salt water on Shabbos. • You’re not allowed to salt or spice raw meat on Shabbos. If you don’t salt on Shabbos Hashem will reward you vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv Don't salt on shabbos!

  29. Separating thread • You’re not allowed to cut off the clothing you weaved off the loom on Shabbos. • Even if you didn’t weave with a loom you’re still not allowed to cut off the yarn or the extra pieces on Shabbos. If you don’t keep Shabbos Hashem may not guard you’re money or you’re food and you may chas veshlom get robbed over night if you don’t keep Shabbos. Don't spread thread on Shabbos!

  30. Smoothing If you don’t Watch Shabbos Hashem won’t Watch you I • You’re not allowed to wash a bar of soap on Shabbos because you’re smoothing out the soap. • You’re not allowed to put oil on a bump on you’re body because the oil smoothens out the bump. Don't smooth on Shabbos

  31. Marking If you don’t mark on Shabbos Hashem won’t mark you by killing you. • You’re not even allowed to make marks with you’re finger. • The torah says that you have to make to letters to be mechallel Shabbos but then the rabbonim said that you’re not even allowed to write one letter on Shabbos. Don't mark on Shabbos!

  32. Cutting A torah has marks For lines that are made Exactly straight with no Machinery! • You’re not allowed to prepare a quill on Shabbos because preparing a quill requires cutting. • You’re not allowed to sharpen a pencil because you’re cutting the tip of the pencil. Don't cut on Shabbos!

  33. Writing If you don’t write on Shabbos Hashem won’t decree that you should die. • You’re not allowed to carve out designs on Shabbos because its like writing. • You’re not allowed to paint or color on Shabbos because its like writing. Don't write on Shabbos!

  34. Erasing • A cookie that has iced letters on it, is allowed to be eaten. • You’re not allowed to cut iced letters on a cake. If you don’t erase on Shabbos Hashem erase you from this world. Don't erase on Shabbos!

  35. Building If you don’t build on Shabbos Hashem may build you’re wealth • You’re not allowed to repair a house or a building because you’re building a little bit. • You’re not allowed to fasten the shovel on the stick of the shovel because you’re building the shovel onto the stick of the shovel. Don't build on Shabbos!

  36. If you demolish on Shabbos Hashem won’t demolish you from this world Demolishing • You’re not even allowed to break down something on Shabbos because somebody may repair it without you knowing. • You’re not allowed to rip a box on Shabbos because you’re destroying the box. Don't demolish on Shabbos!

  37. If you don’t light a fire on Shabbos Hashem will make you have good Shabbos candles! Lighting a fire • You’re not allowed to drive a car on Shabbos because you’re burning fuel. • You’re not allowed to read by an oil lamp because it may lead to adjusting the wick. Don't light a fire on Shabbos!

  38. Putting out a fire If you light a fire on Shabbos Hashem may fire you from this world • You’re allowed to put water around a fire to stop the fire from spreading. • you’re allowed to put out a fire on Shabbos if its an emergency. unless an emergency don't put out a fire on Shabbos!

  39. Putting on finishing touches Keep Shabbos! • you’re not allowed to sew a button into a suit because you’re putting the finishing touches on the suit. • One of the reasons why you’re not allowed to play musical instruments on Shabbos is that playing the instrument may lead to repairing it. Don't put on finishing touches on Shabbos!

  40. Carrying If you don’t carry on Shabbos Hashem won’t take you from this world. • The torah says you’re not allowed to leave you’re house on Shabbos but the rabbonim said that the torah really meant that you’re not allowed to carry on Shabbos. • You’re not allowed to throw or pass some thing from a rishus harabim to a rishus hayachid of the other way. Don't carry on Shabbos!
