Task Introduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion | Credits | Teacher Page • You will gather information, by visiting various websites on the prevention of pollution on the land, air, and water. Then you will create a Super Hero Brochure sharing how to save our planet from pollution. • The brochure will have three sections: 1. Each section will include the type of pollution 2. Each section will have a pollution Superhero mascot 3. Each section will have at least five ways of prevention covered in paragraph form

Land 2. Air 3. Water • Once you have picked your role, you will each then need to navigate through the slides to come which will give you links and information about each type of pollution. • Each person in the group will need to fill out their own pollutioninformation form on the type of pollution they are researching.

Process Continued • The pollution information form should be used to explore each of the five websites you visit, meaning you will use one block for the first website, the second block for the second website, and so on. • Each member will share with their group their information and discuss their question on the type of pollution they researched. Group members will help in creating the web for each type of pollution researched by their members. • After you have completed the lesson and you have each filled up the five blocks on your pollution information form you will then make one brochure as a group. Each member will be responsible for providing the superhero mascot and at least 5 ways that your pollution can be prevented in paragraph form. • The brochure needs to be neat and attractive to the eye, remember you are helping save the world, so you want your brochure to catch people’s eye so they will read it and join in on your efforts to save the world from pollution. • YOUR MISSION HAS NOW BEGUN!!!

  18. Congratulations on your progress from novice to expert on the three types of pollution!Now, it’s time to create your “Save the World” brochure.Follow the steps below in creating your brochure. Each person should create one section of the brochure. Your section will be the type of pollution you researched. The type of pollution should be written at the top of each section. Each section will need to include 5 ways of prevention for that type of pollution. Each prevention method needs to be written in paragraph form. Each section will need a created Superhero mascot that will help you present your message on pollution prevention. Each Superhero will need a name that relates to the type of pollution he/she is trying to stop. Example: Water Warrior

  20. Evaluation • Each member will be grade on the information form. The information form will need to include at least 80% accuracy. • Each group will be graded on the group webs. The information on the webs will need to include at least 80% accuracy. • The groups will be graded on their brochures using a rubric.
