  2. \. Hypothesis • If we recycle, then the amount of recyclables in our trash cans will decrease

  3. Experiment 1 Count how many recyclables are in our trash. Control group 2. Try to remember to recycle the little things in our trash so the recyclable items in it will decrease. 3. Count the items in our trash that can be recycled for the next two days. 4. Make a graph then compare how many recyclable items we dispose from our trash cans and put in our recycling bins.

The 5 W’s • WHO - everyone • What- we don’t recycle and the effect of that is our earth will be full of trash • When- it started as early as the 400B.C. • Where- in ancient waste dumps, which showed less household waste. Assuming, they recycled old materials and made them into new ones. • Why- because people were thinking ideas to reduce the amount the amount that was collected.

  7. Facts • Glass can be recycled forever. It never wears out. • In the United States, the amount of steel that is thrown out and not recycled every year is enough to build all the new American-made cars. • 75% of each tree that is cut down for paper is not used for paper products. • Americans use 4 million bottles every hour, but only 25% are recycled.
