The context • The “Vallée de l’Arve” is very industrialized (precize engineering) • It is very near Switzterland and Italy • It is a very touristic area • Due to the proximity of Geneva and the international organizations such as the United Nations, International Health Organization, but also due to industrialization in the area, many nationalities live together and mix

The various educational branches • Subjects related to general education to prepare the high school diplomas in sciences, litterature, economics or technology • Professional training in sales, accounting or secretarial department • Professional training in business and management to prepare two years after the baccalaureat diploma called BTS

Pupils and students • Aged from 15 to 24 • The pupils come from diverse social backgrounds ; but lots of them never travel, they don’t even go to Italy or Switzerland • They are part of second or third generations of immigrants from a lot of different countries like North Africa, Turkey, Asia, …

  11. Future projects planned in our school : • European classes for pupils of the professional training, with courses in English • Exchanges with European countries for students in business and management, to improve their English and discover other cultures • Training periods in various corporations and small businesses in European countries

  12. The « BTS » • Second-year university level in business and management • 14 weeks of non paid company internships in small businesses such as shops or banking agencies • Objective: become a manager in an outlet or financial adviser in a bank
