  2. Mission • Our Mission is to ensure proper tagging, tracking, and disposition of District assets while maintaining compliance with external and internal property guidelines.

  3. Tagging District Property • All equipment with unit cost of $1,000 or more • Four exceptions regardless of cost: • All computers, desktops and laptops (iPads are considered laptops) • All printers • All LCD projectors • All interactive white/smart boards

  4. Tracking District Property • By site number • By property number • By serial number • By purchase order number • By employee number (E-number)

  5. Maintains a database listing District assets • Detailed summary reports are available by individual site

  6. Performing Physical Inventories • Principal notified 5 days in advance • Principal notifies school staff to bring in all District equipment during the inventory process

  7. New Fixed Asset System (FAST) • Electronic scanning system • Summer refresh deliveries are being scanned into FAST on a daily basis • We hope to inventory all schools every year • Additional enhancements to the FAST system • Continually working with Technology Services

  8. eqTransfer • The fixed asset system (FAST) will be updated once Property Control receives the signed eqTransfer Form from the Warehouse. • This Form serves as a record of all transfers. • All transfers must be from one Local Asset Coordinator to another. • All parties involved must keep copies of the transfer paperwork on file in order to maintain a paper trail on the transfers. • Property transferred or removed should be kept in a secure location and should not be stored outside. • The eqTransfer program will be used for all property transfers. The eqTransfer manual is located on the Financial Services University Website.
