  1. HS Announcements: Friday, Dec. 7th High School Attention seniors: Are you interested in applying for the Franklin B. Walters All-Scholastic Award? If so, the application and required documents are due in the HS Guidance Office by January 22, 2013. Stop by HS Guidance to pick up an application. High school students that are interested in participating in a 2013 summer program to get a head start on the path to college can stop in the guidance office to find out what opportunities are available for them at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. A reminder to all New NHS Members – you have two service hours due by Monday, Dec. 10th. Any high school student who is in need of service hours for NHS or Link Crew or any other activity, please see Jake Vitt for service opportunities. High school yearbooks are on sale for $25 dollars until Christmas break. Just return the order form to Mr. Lynxwiler to preorder the 2013 book. After Christmas the price goes up. Also we still have a few copies of last year’s book for $30. Don’t regret it in ten years, get your memories in full color. All Spanish Club members need to pay $10 dues by Monday, Dec. 10th. There will be a STAND meeting this Friday during second homeroom in Room 68. A Quick Update from the Red Cross Club – the bake sale before Thanksgiving raised $210 for Sandy relief and the high school student body helped the club get 732 cards signed for the Holiday Mail for Heroes program. The next meeting of the Red Cross Club will be December 19th. If you would like to enter the drawing for December Safe Driver of the Month and have had no traffic infractions for the entire month of November, you may enter your name in the box in Mrs. Conrad’s room by Friday, December 7. This month’s safe driver will receive a $15 gas card, sponsored by FCCLA. Link Crew members will teach lessons to freshmen during homeroom on Friday. So do you think you have TALENT? Sign up for the Talent Show in the High School Office by December 12th and get ready to show off your talents to your classmates. Auditions for the Talent Show will be on Thursday, December 13th from 3-5pm. Please come prepared to the audition with all that you will need for your act. Fill out the information sheet for Mr. Lamb after you sign up and return to him by the end of the day on Wednesday, December 12th. Good Luck! Attention New York City Seniors – your next NYC Payment of $100 is due by Friday, Dec. 21st to Mr. Cotrell or Mr. Lewis. Please turn payments in during homeroom. Athletics The Varsity Girls Basketball team defeated Southeastern last night by a score of 51-44. Melany Ward scored 19 pints in the victory. Taylor Day added 8 and Maria Daulton had 7. The Varsity Boys Bowling team lost to West Carrolton by a count of 2412-2038. Garret and Gage Rudasill bowled a 158-243. Phil Davis had a 222-406. Justin Dallas and Ben Cummins hada a 169-337. Austin Randall and Brad Burt scored a 149-264. Nate Stewart and Reese Shager bowled a 229. The Varsity Girls Bowling team defeated West Carrolton by a count of 1893-1460. Scores were: Codi McNutt 144-278, Megann Boyd 159-294, Emily Crook-Kelli Kendall 124-242, Sarah Eleyet 143-253, Natalie Evans-Sami Lay 116-211.
