Consultation on Action Plan • First LAC discussion 2nd December • OLS engagement in concept of a Skills Action Plan • Action Plan circulated to the LAC 12th April • Comments received and Action Plan revised • Action Plan presented to members of the LSSB 27th April • Comments received • Action Plan revised and recirculated to LAC 2nd June • Action Plan included in delegate packs for LAC meeting 3rd June • Final comments needed by 17th June • Publication  week commencing 20th June

  6. Working Together • We are working with: • The Society of biology on the Accreditation Programme • Lantra on In-Vivo skills • The CRO’s on developing a Higher Level Apprenticeship for Life sciences • The BIA/EMIG/ABPI on developing an offer for SME’s

  7. Focus for Today • The Action Plan has been developed over the last 6 months • Commit to publication week commencing 20th June • Focus on developing solutions to take forward • Organised the workshops into 4 cross cutting potential solutions • Placements • Occupational Standards for Professionals • SME’s • Apprenticeships • Need to consider other potential priority solutions • Agree sub groups to develop the solutions
