Tacloban Airport Operations Update and Incoming Team Procedure

Ongoing rubble clearance at Tacloban Airport (UNRDC). The airport is located 11 km from Tacloban City center, approximately a 2-hour travel time. For incoming teams and aid staff, please meet with UNDAC representatives Ridzal or Tsukasa to register and receive a briefing on the situation and logistics at the RDC office. Note that RDC has strong ties with the air force officer-in-charge; all requests should be channeled through RDC.
