The Community School Safety Education Program (CSSEP) by METRO aims to improve safety awareness among students, parents, and communities during and after construction. Launched in Fall 2008, the program includes three weeks of student safety training covering construction and rail safety, reaching over 15,000 students in HISD. The next phase involves strategic partnerships to further integrate safety lessons into the HISD curriculum and ongoing safety training for school staff. METRO is committed to reinforcing safety through community outreach and education.
