Zero: The Hole-Digging Teen with a Heart

Meet Zero, a homeless teenage boy named for his empty mind. Aggressive yet caring, he digs holes and smiles big, despite struggles with literacy. As one of the main characters in "Holes" by Jay Williams and Mrs. Crane's 6th-period class, Zero's actions and relationships shape the story. From smacking adults with shovels to helping friends, his journey teaches valuable lessons of friendship and resilience.
