Rebecca Davis: CSE 3 Portfolio Computational Thinking HTML and Web Pages Online In this lab, we learned to use HTML programming techniques to design and write a webpage. This webpage has been published online and has been the page that housed all our future works by clicking the links shown in the table to the right. In CSE 3, we have been introduced to computational thinking using computer science techniques. Over the 10 weeks, we developed our skill s in HTML design, Excel, PowerPoint, a visual programming program Alice, and JavaScript. Throughout the course, we have created our own webpage and have added our projects to this page online. These skills have been displayed in the compilation of this poster. Data Visualization with Excel Desktop Publishing with MS Word This lab introduced us to a new program called Alice and this tested our abilities to adapt to a novel program and manipulate the characters in our World. We utilized loops and commands to create a published video. We were made familiar with all the different computations and formulas that Excel is known for. We calculated budgets and our stock portfolios and this is a very useful skill to have in the professional world. Below is a 4-year plan for my college degree. For this lab we honed our skills to work with MS Word and then published these works as a PDF. For this lab we gained advanced visual design and handy tools to create a professional portfolio. Visual Programming with Alice Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript PowerPoint Presentations This lab focused on creating a PowerPoint and making sure that we utilized all of the special features so that we are aware of the many options we have for creating professional designs. This lab was a accumulation of all of the skills that we have learned so far in the labs.. We were tested on our ability to create a webpage and match the design from a picture. We created a functioning blackjack game that needed advanced loops and if ifelse statements. This was a very challenging lab, but the most rewarding too. Plus it is a flashy so it impresses.
