  2. General Introduction • Purpose To examine the practice effect of Clinical Rotation • System- Theory & Practical Skills Theory: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Paediatrics Practical Skills: 3 from 9 items (basic medical examination, e.g. NIBP Measurement)

General Introduction • Pattern Theory: closed-book exam Questions are chosen from questions library by computer; 50 single questions for each subject; 5 different question patterns,; 90 minutes in exam rooms Practical Skills: closed-book exam Question is chosen by lot or examiner; 6 minutes operation in diagnostics rooms

  4. Clinical Skills: • Students will have to finish 3 operations (covering internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, gynaecologyandobstetrics) in a three-station examination. Students go through the station one by one according to the order of the name list. Every student would have only 6 mins at each station, then 1 min break for the interval between every station. The addition of the marks for 3 stations makes up the final marks for the clinical skills.

  5. Grading System • Answer Sheet 2B pencil; Invalid if folded or dirty • Marking Operated by operator* on computer; Standard answers are given by the computer; Operator knows nothing about the questions; *a person in charge of operation for all the exams

  6. Grading System • Evaluation Final marks=Original marks*Ratio Ration=90/highest marks of the grade • Assessment Positions in the grade determine the marks Last 1-5 students are might fail e.g. Last 6th 60 marks; last 5th 40 marks Last 2nd 60 marks; last one 58 marks

  7. Grading System • If failed No opportunity to recheck; Re-do clinical rotation in Qilu or Provincial Hospital with lower grade; Re-write the graduation exam after second clinical rotation.

  8. Records of Past Graduates

  9. Any one who fails the make-up exam could still take the graduation exams first. But have to wait till pass all the compulsory courses then could get the graduation documents and MBBS degree. • Everyone could register only one subject for rechecking during April 8-9. The feedback will be on April 11.
