  2. About me • I am the eldest of two sons in the family and I’ve immigrated to Canada in Sept 2000. I am currently in 2nd year of studies at UBC Pharmacy and I am aiming to work towards PharmD degree after my Bsc. I love being actively involved in school and the Korean-Canadian community. My current goal for this summer is to get employed at a hospital in BC as pharmacy student intern. My life long dream is to travel the world while providing clinical support as a volunteer pharmacist. Also, I hope to get married and have as many children as I can possibly have someday!

  3. Research Clinical Research directed studies student position • I am currently working on 2 research projects, ESAS evaluation of hemo-dialysis patients and catheter exit site infection swab techniques at St.Pauls hospital in downtown Vancouver under Dr. Marianna Leung’s supervision. Collecting ESAS data and permanent catheter exit site swabs and analyzing it with statistical data.

  4. Volunteering • 2009/2010 volunteer experiences • 밀알선교단(Diability services) • NMSC math and sciences competition • Community of hope -soup kitchen • Pharmasave student volunteer • Vancouver foodbank volunteer • UBC hospital ICU volunteer

  5. Club activities • Currently AKCSE UBC chapter Vice president External-재캐나다과학기술자협회 • R.O.P.E. (Reaching out for people and earth) -Fundraising club for less fortunate (raised $1400 for kids in Mexico in 2009) • Cheondoong Korean Drumming • KOCUPSS - Korean Canadian UBC Pharmacy Student Society member • CSHP- Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists member

  6. Others • Actively involved in many sporting events like intramurals, and runs such as ‘CIBC Run for the Cure- Breat cancer’ • Currently working on Personal Trainer certificate. • Representing pharmacy student and giving yearly information speaches for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. • Also tutor university and high school students during winter and summer breaks.
