The Seeds of Development Program, a collaborative initiative led by Dr. Edward Mabaya of Cornell University and Market Matters Inc., aims to enhance Africa's seed industry through innovative business development services. Founded in June 2003, the program focuses on building management capacity for locally-owned seed companies, fostering networking among stakeholders, and conducting research to guide industry strategies and inform public policy. Activities include workshops, seed trading forums, and field visits across various African countries, ensuring a strong impact on agricultural development.
