What is a GPA? • There are several GPA’s (Grade Point Averages) • Unweighted • Considers all high school courses • No weight for more rigorous courses • No value given for (+) • Used for graduation (2.0) • Weighted • Only for Broward County • Special Weight for more rigorous courses • Used for Class Rank • Academic Core • Only based on Math, English, Social Studies, Science and World Languages • Give a small weight for more rigorous courses.
