Assessing a Stock • We looked at the following information: *the highest P/E ratio *the 52 week high/low *new companies to get in on the ground level. *the 1 and 5 year growth charts for each stock. • We watched the Chicago Tribune for news related to our companies.
Reflection As a team, we decided that the best stocks to invest in would be fairly new companies that were branching out to new places. Stocks like Buffalo Wild Wings and Exelon turned out to be the catalysts of stocks in the ones that we chose. On the other hand, the other stocks that we purchased (Urban Outfitters and Thompson Ads) did not produce any profit over the months. If we were to do it again, we would chose stocks with similar statistics to Buffalo Wild Wings and Exelon.
